I bought this concealer a few weeks back upon the recommendation of the gorgeous Estée from EssieButton. Although I'm still madly in love with both my Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer and my Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch, I loved the foundation from this line and wanted to see what the concealer was like.
I really like the packaging design. It comes in a dinky little tube that is compact, and has a convenient and hygienic applicator.
The consistency of the product is akin to a very thick foundation, and so is the coverage. While this is labelled as a 'radiance and anti-fatigue' concealer, provides a medium coverage and a nice brightening effect under the eyes, it isn't overly 'highlighting' or at all shimmery.
It feels a little powdery after blending, which makes me think that this may not suit dry skins as much as normal-oily, but the staying power is really good, with just one or two touch ups needed throughout the day.
Like a lot of Bourjois products, it is quite heavily scented so might irritate more sensitive skins, but i personally haven't had an issue with it. I bought this in shade 53 and it's a pretty good match for my skin colour. Although you could use this on smaller blemishes, it is more suited to the eye area and I still tend to use another (higher coverage) concealer on spots.
Overall, this is a lovely little product that I will use up and enjoy. I might purchase it again, I might not... It's not on my 'must have' list, but it's got a solid (and thoroughly deserved) spot in my everyday makeup bag!
You can buy Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer from Boots & Superdrug for £7.99, but it's currently on offer on the Boots website.
I just bought this yesterday and today is the first day I worn it, and i have to say I love it- I definitely prefer it to the Collection 2000 concealer, probably because I have more normal-oily skin :)

I really want to try this! And by the way in the title you said it was the foundation but in the post you said it was the concealer :) x
ReplyDeletei've heard a lot of great stuff about this, definitely want to try it x
ReplyDeletehttp://vividiorquue.blogspot.com
I think nothing ever beats high-end Concealers! I have three, all of which are the best I've ever had an are high-end. Although I haven't tried the collection 2000 one yet, I think I should with the hype surrounding it.
ReplyDeleteI have heard a few good things about this maybe it's time I tried it since I always stick with the same one
ReplyDeletealittlebitsunshine.blogspot.co.uk
I've heard a lot about this! I'm really tempted to buy it because it's drugstore and not that expensive I think :D
ReplyDeleteGreat post!

I love this selection of products, especially the foundation but haven't tried this yet. May pick it up in my next shopping spree.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely need to try this now, thanks for the review!

I am selling the foundation from this range in a shade 53 if you wanted to try that as well! It is a shade too dark for me, I always find it so difficult in boots to get the right shade because they have such orangey lighting! xxx
ReplyDeletehttp://unstitchedd.blogspot.co.uk
Always wanted to try something from this range and I'm a bit of a concealers hoarder!!
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE it if some of you guys would come and check my blog out!! :D xx

I buy this concealer repeatedly although interestingly didn't get on with the foundation at all,(slid off). But this concealer is just right - I find it works better on top of my foundation rather than underneath it. Great coverage and no bad reactions with my skin - slightly expensive for a drugstore concealer but lasts ages.

I'm currently on the hunt for a new concealer and I wish they sold this one in Canada for the same price that they do in the UK :0

I have this and although it's good I prefer the Collection concealer :) xx

The heavy scents put me off Bourjois, my skin is so tricky :(

My favourite concealer is Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer, it works wonders on my dark circles and spots (: I have been looking for a liquid concealer recently though, any suggestions are welcome (my email is on my blog profile) I have dry skin <3

Ive been thinking about buying that, but i think i will now
ReplyDeleteaffectionforglamour.blogspot.co.uk
I love this concealer. I know it's not THE highest coverage but because of the powdery finish it's so buildable :)
ReplyDeleteI've never tried this foundation, but I actually might! I think I'll have to try the Collection 2000 one first though, as I haven't tried that either, and I've heard so much about it! I have normal to dry skin, so that might be more suitable for me.. Great review! :)

Great review but I love my collection 2000 concealer too much - instead of repurchasing the collection 2000 one I'll try this one. x
ReplyDeletehttp://confessionsofabeautylover.blogspot.co.uk/
Been umming and ahhing over this and the foundation for a while now and still so unsure! After you saying it might not suit dry skin im on the fence even more now because I sometimes have dry skin on my forehead and the sides of my nose! Great review as always :) xxx
ReplyDeletehttp://xosarah-loves.blogspot.co.uk/
I tried this but its a bit too yellow for my very pink skin :( Glad you like it though! www.cherrytruth2.blogspot.co.uk xx
ReplyDeleteI love the foundation of this concealer xx
ReplyDeleteIm not a fan, the packaging makes it hard to squeeze out the right amount. The shade range is abysmal their isnt a dark enough shade for me and im only medium dark so it makes me ashy. I have dry skin and it makes my under eyes really dry. I love the foundation although the shade range is poor again, come summer I have to mix it with my illamasqua skinbase.
ReplyDeleteI bought this too, and I have dry skin - no problems as of yet. I've also got dead sensitive skin, and I don't find it to be irritating at all. I love my collection 2000 too, but I keep that for more 'serious' blemishes. :)
ReplyDeletelove your reviews fleur!

I love the collection 2000 concealer, it is a staple for me! I haven't tried a new concealer in such a long time, so I really need to jump on the bandwagon and join in on the hype of this product!

I was just testing this at a shop the other day and the consistency seemed really thick and I believe it is an amazing concealer. I have to buy it!

This sounds nice but my skin is quite dry and sensitive, so probably wouldn't be the best for me! I'll have to stick with my Collection 2000 concealer! xx

This is a million times better the collection 2000 concealer, the collection one is so unhygienic, dry and cakey, I have oily skin and this one is a must have for me.
ReplyDeleteI really wish Bourjois was available in the US, or I could find a place to purchase that ships to the US. Superdrug needs to start US delivery. lol Great blog post as usual. xx

I've tried a few of Bourjois' foundation and concealer products and haven't found one that works for my dry skin as, like you said, the formula can be quite powdery. It's such a shame as I hadn't tried this yet..and they do all smell lovely! <3
ReplyDeletethelittlelifebox.blogspot.co.uk
I really think that I am going to have to try this concealer, I love the Healthy Mix Foundation.

Oh and I'm running a giveaway, if you want to pop over and have a nosey! Giveaway here
Hi, i was wondering if you could help me. I had a blackhead on my nose and i stupidly tried to remove it. As a result of that it has now scarred, it almost looks like a beauty mark, its a pure black spot and i cant seem to cover it up. i was wondering if you would help me with this.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like this, I'm still trying to use it up but I find it looks really cakey and heavy under my eyes so I only use it on spots and things :(
ReplyDeleteI've got this one and not keen on it at all. Too dark and the consistency is just too heavy. Collection's Lasting Perfection is still the winner from the budget range x
ReplyDeleteIs the title meant to be healthy mix foundation? Just thought I'd point it out! :) I'm going to pick up this concealer when I am next in boots and give it a shot! xxx
ReplyDeleteI realy like this concealer. I've never had a problem with it, I tend to struggle with other concealers as they are too cakey x

Hey Fleur! Do you know where I can purchase Bourjois products in the US? I can't seem to find any website that sells the Healthy Mix Foundation and I really want to try it! I also want to try the collection 2000 concealer but they're not available here!
ReplyDeleteI love the foundation that teams with this, i was wondering about the concealer so I'm glad you posted about !

I love both the bourjois foundation and serum so this was next on my list to try, however I have been debating it for a while as I have heard similar reviews to your own in relation to dry skin. Ah decisions, decisions! http://lucierebekahh.blogspot.co.uk/ x
