When it arrived, I discovered that it is an almost exact dupe for MAC's much admired and celebrated Rubenesque paint pot, which will set you back £13.50.
Above: MAC Rubenesque
Below: Benefit Sippin and Dippin
I'm sure most of you will have seen Rubenesque, if not own it yourself but I thought I'd upload a few comparison pics for you all to see.
Right: Benefit Sippin and Dippin
Those of you thinking of picking up Rubenesque may want to reconsider as personally, I think Sippin' 'n' Dippin' may be slightly better. The formulation is thinner and easier to apply, while the colour is ever-so-slightly more peachy/pink, with rubenesque being more predominantly gold.

Right: Benefit Sippin and Dippin
I still prefer the goldy tones of Rubenesque but I wouldn't say no to the Benefit one! They aren't exactly the same after all! : )

Hi Fleur! I don't own any of them but I have been thinking about getting Rubenesque, but now that I see both of them compared, I think I like better Sippin' 'n' Dippin'! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so getting this! Thanks for telling us about it :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous actually. Great dupe.
ReplyDeleteBut I love my Rubenesque. I use it on my eyes, lips and cheeks. So pretty in Summer.

These are both gorgeous. I think I will definately go and pick up the Benefit one as it's almost half the price and pretty similar (:
ReplyDeleteI have Rubenesque its my fave paint pot. This looks really pretty as well tho. When I run out of Rubenesque I may try this one.
ReplyDeleteDefinately tryin the benefit one! Looks lovely :) x

I have both of these and i honestly think Rubenesque is better!! but everyone has there own opinion!!
ReplyDeleteBut as you said if you can get benefits for £6.95 then its a great dupe and i would get it!!.
I love Rubenesque but the Benefit dupe looks really similar and is such a bargain! x
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with the Creaseless cream shadows prefer their texture and staying power over MAC paint pots any day... I do believe my collection is lacking this one though! Must purchase :) x
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try this but I think it might be to peachy gold for my NC15 skin :(
ReplyDeleteLove to try this out!
ReplyDeletewow I must try it! ;D
ReplyDelete7 quid for a benefit product? I think I might have to buy! :L x
ReplyDeleteI don't have either of these but have a few other shades of the Benefit cream shadows so reckon I might have to get this... at £7 it really would be rude not to!!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely looks like a good product. I still prefer the color of Rubenesque.
ReplyDeleteMAC actually is coming out with a new Paint Pot soon that's similar to Rubenesque but looks really beautiful. Mac is actually coming out with quite a few new products soon. I just watched a video where Marlena (The Makeup Geek) did a review on the new products from Mac and Urban Decay. I can't wait until they release them.
Oooo I think I prefer the benefit one actually - it has a much more useable tone to it for daily wear.
ReplyDeletei am interested in trying the benefit cream shadows!! great post!

I think these Benefit creaseless cream shadows really last throughout the day. The results from the paint pots wasn't as good. (for me anyway!)
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed by the info that you have on this site. It reveals how nicely you understand this subject.
ReplyDeletePaint a Pot
I prefer 'Rubenesque', only because I gravitate towards the gold tones.
