Tried & Tested: Prai O2 Infusion

I was sent a rather intriguing product last week in the form of Prai's 02 Infusion with Vacuum Technology. If you are looking at the name and wondering exactly what type of product this is, I must admit I was right there with you on that one. Even all of the accompanying 'blurb' didn't really explain the nature of this product!

"This innovative formula contains oxygen molecules to help deliver additional oxygen to the surface of the skin, giving lackluster skin a more youthful and refreshed look"

It's not quite a cleanser, not quite a face mask, but rather something along the lines of a face 'treatment'?

Definitions aside, I was eager to try it (mainly out of sheer curiosity!)

One pump of product

The texture is interesting. It comes out as a lotion and when you massage it into dry skin it transforms into a light foam. The bottle instructs you to leave it on your face for 1-2 minutes, during which time it continues to foam.

Massaged into skin

The scent is nice, it's sweet and somewhat passion-fruity without being too over powering and the consistency of the product is nice, and novel!

After 1 min

I encountered one major problem with this product though. It made my face sting so badly, I couldn't keep it on for 2 minutes! I kept in on for 60 seconds, and then quickly wiped it off with a cloth as instructed.

As for results, I do think my skin looks a little brighter and is definitely smoother, but it also looks slightly red and irritated. I don't normally have very sensitive skin so this was somewhat of a shock and it still feels slightly tight and irritated half an hour after use.

All in all, this is a novel idea but I wouldn't recommend it for those whose of you whose skin is on the sensitive side. Even those who don't normally have sensitive skin, use with caution!

Prai 02 Infusion is priced at £19.75 and available from QVC in the next few weeks

  3. It looks just like Bliss's triple oxygen mask. I do have sensitive skin, but thankfully didn't have a reaction to the Bliss mask. Although, it was only one use so maybe that would change if I used it regularly. My skin felt smoother and I did see a slight brightening effect as well. On the whole, I still think the foam action is a bit of a gimmick.

It's great that you always post pictures of the actual product. Thanks!

  5. That is the oddest product I've seen in a while. I think I'll give it a miss, my face doesn't react well with foamy moussy things.

  6. I have to say I would be afraid to try this product after that review. I don't have sensitive skin, by and large, but still nothing worse than that stingy feeling.

  7. I'm sorry but whenever I see stuff like this I just think, it's absolute rubbish. I'm not an expert, but I have studied a bit of chemistry and organic chemistry, and as far as I know, putting a bit of oxygen onto your skin is not going to make any difference, and even if I did it would be more likely to cause your skin to age prematurely!
Honestly, the things these companies can but on the label, it's shocking. For instance, a moisturiser that is going to "change your skin's DNA" to make your skin look younger...!!

Sorry for that rant, I'm sorry you had a bad reaction to the product!

  8. Like Rachel (above) I think this is a copy of the triple oxygen mask by Bliss although I've used the Bliss mask for over a year and I haven't had any bad reactions. This mask isn't miraculous but is nice to use when you want to feel extra pretty as it leaves the skin quite refreshed and luminous.
