Urban Decay Does it Again...

You've all seen the Book of Shadows and the infamous Naked Palette, but Urban Decay's newest limited addition box of loveliness may just be my favourite of them all. Feast your eyes on the 15 Year Anniversary Palette!

The palette contains 15 totally new shades that cater for all tastes and eventualities, encased in a beautiful reflective case with bejewelled 'UD' initials in the lid...

As to be expected from Urban Decay, all of the shadows are gorgeously smooth and highly pigmented.

The colours range from pale champagnes and golden browns for everyday wear, pretty pastels for a hint of colour and a few shocking brights for those more adventurous evenings out.

All the shades are shimmery with exception of 'Blackout', a matte black.

Above from left: Midnight Rodeo, Midnight 15, Vanilla, Flow, Chase
Above from left: Tainted, Junkshow, Omen, Evidence, Deep End
Above from left: Deeper, MIA, Ace, Blackout, Half Truth

There are a few good dupes in here for some of the 'must have' MAC shades too... namely Naked Lunch, Woodwinked, Tempting, Knight Divine and Carbon (could be a good or bad thing depending if you own them already!)

Bottom from left: (MAC) Naked Lunch, Woodwinked, Tempting, Knight Divine, Carbon

All in all, I have to say this palette is simply fabulous. The only thing I would have changed would be to include a mini primer potion like most of the previous palettes! It would look gorgeous on any dressing table don't you think?

The 15th Anniversary palette is £39 and available now from Debenhams online here and in store.

  4. It looks great, love the packaging! Although it is a bit less practical that the Naked palette, and like you said a mini primer potion would have been good. Great photos, especially the dupes!

  9. hmm.. it's cute but I think I'd much rather the naked pallette, just because I like that it has a couple more matte shades and it's cheaper.. £39 is a little pricey! x

  16. Ugh it's been sold out online and places around me and I wasn't going to get it until I saw it and the lady told me it was the last one! AH! So pricey... but the shadows are so amazing. I always feel like I've wasted money with my mac shadows because of all the dupes. ERGH. So frustrating because I just bought Naked Lunch, Woodwinked, and Tempting somewhat recently :/.

You probably have seen this one already but in case you haven't. :P It's from Nubar and it's called Treasure. Here's a link:

  44. This palette is limited edition and I like it much more than the Naked palette so I didn't buy it (naked). £39 is a lot of money! I've bought one but I'm wondering if that money would've best been spent on something else. Why are we paying more for this than the US?

  45. Ahhhh! I'm in love with these colors! Very similar to the Naked palette but it has a little more spice in it! Early B-day present? I think so.

  48. I have been lusting after The Naked Palette for months now, is this really a replacement? The packaging does look rather flimsy; almost as though the shadows are just sitting within a cardboard box rather than being built into proper casing.. Anyone know whether this is true? I can't really tell from the pictures and would hate to buy it only to realise that it's totally un-transportable!
