Wedding Belles!

This post has been a long time in the making...

My brother got married almost a month ago, on September 10th, and I was given the (rather scary!) responsibility of doing the makeup. I thought you might be interested to see what I used on the day, and of course some of the pictures of the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids (myself included!)

When I laid the products out on the floor to take this picture it actually looked like a lot of products, but the looks we went for on the day were very natural, classic ‘bridal’ looks.

Firstly, for the bride…
Left-right, Top-bottom: RMK Primer, Georgio Armani Fluid Sheer in Pale Shimmering Rose, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B30, Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette, Bare Minerals Original Mineral Veil, Urban Decay Eyelash Curlers, Sleek Contour Kit in Light (I only used the contour shade), Stila Kitten Highlighting duo, MAC blush in Desert Rose, Urban Decay Primer Potion, MAC Brow Set, Smashbox Brow Tech in Brunette, Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink, NARS Eyeshadow in Ashes to Ashes, MAC Eyesahdows in Orb, Naked Lunch, Omega and Embark, Estee Lauder Crystal Baby Lipstick, MAC Creamsheen Glass in Deelight, YSL Touche Eclat (2), YSL Effet Faux Cils Mascara in black, Estee Lauder Sumptuous waterproof mascara in black (for the bottom lashes!), Skindinavia setting spray for Oily skin, A selection of brushes from MAC, Royal & Langnickel Sigma, Smashbox and BH Cosmetics.

A closer look at some of the shades...
Left-right: NARS Ashes to Ashes, MAC Orb, Naked Lunch, Omega & Embark, Bobbi Brown Espresso Ink, MAC Desert Rose, STILA Kitten Highlighter, Estee Lauder Crystal Baby, MAC Deelight.

The Bride (didn't she look beautiful?!) I know this picture is in black and white, but it was just so pretty...
For the Bridesmaids…
Left-Right, Top-Bottom: Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in various shades, Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel, Benefit Sugarbomb, BareMinerals Original mineral veil, Skindinavia setting spray (various formulations), Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin, Urban Decay Eyelash Curlers, Georgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Silk eyeshadows in Khaki Pulse (6) and Rock Sand (9), Georgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara, Georgio Armani Smooth Silk eyeliner in Black, MAC Carbon eyeshadow, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick in Boy, A selection of brushes from MAC, Royal & Langnickel Sigma, Smashbox and BH Cosmetics.

A closer look...
Clockwise from left: Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel, Benefit Sugarbomb, Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin,  Armani Eyes to Kill Intense in 9 and 6, MAC Carbon, Chanel Boy
Left-right: Urban Decay primer potion in Sin, Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Silk eyeshadows in 9 and 6, Bobbi Brown Espresso Ink Gel Eyeliner, Benefit Sugarbomb, Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel, Chanel Boy.
My cheeky nephew, Spike!
The happy couple...
We all had such a fabulous day, and I don't think I've ever seen the bride and groom look so happy!

There is one thing I hate about weddings though... They seem to go so quickly! I never wanted the day to end and it went by in a flash!
Disclaimer: I bought most of the products shown, some were press samples

    I have some (random) questions:
    - Whate are those marks on yu Chanel Bronzer?
    - Why are two of the bridesmaids' dresses different?

I wish you had close-up pics of the makeup :-)

  23. Great products. You all look gorgeous and very happy! Just wondering how you use your chanel bronze universal as there is a weird pattern in the product in the pot, and mine doesnt have that, so i think it must be down to the way you use it. Thanks xx

  51. what stunning photos, hope you had a nice day it looked blissful!

i have to say looking at your swatches the two colours that i thought "WOW" was the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Silk eyeshadows in 9 and 6. they are so beautiful and i think you made a great choice to use them for a wedding as they are such neutral pretty colours but the intense shimmer/shine really makes them pop. Love love love.
