Nailed: Butter London Disco Biscuit

In case you haven't noticed, I've been obsessing over Butter London polishes for the past few weeks and as soon as I clapped eyes on this polish, it was on the top of my wish list.

I ordered it from thebeautybooth.com a few weeks ago but they actually sold it to me whilst it was not in stock (which I was not too happy about, but their customer service since has been fab, so no complaints there!).
It took two weeks to get to me, but it was definitely worth the wait… I'm in love!

The shade in question is Disco Biscuit, from their new spring collection. It's a super bright fuschia with fine blue glitter. Although it's almost neon in the bottle, the formulation is actually very sheer, with an almost jelly-like consistency and takes three thick coats to achieve opacity.
It looks really glossy on the nails, but the texture of the glitter shows through a little, giving it a really unusual finish.

I was a bit dissapointed by this at first but I've actually grown to really like the finish. It's definitely different to any of my other polishes.
I think this is going to be a staple spring and summer colour for me. It's definitely as gorgeous as I expected and the photos don't really do it justice.

Butter London polishes can be hard to find, but I got mine for £12 at thebeautybooth.com

OK so this is the last nail post about Butter London for a while… I promise! :)

  18. I have Yummy Mummy, All Hail The Queen and Tea with the Queen.. and honestly I'm a bit disappointed. Tea with the Queen isn't a peachy nude as I expectet but an awful orange, makes bad lobster claws (but of course I can't blame Butter London for that, it's just my skintone). But I noticed that I have bad tipwear after a few hours (it's the same with all three polishes), doesn't matter how many layers I do, what base- or topcoat I use, if I seal the tip.. and that for 16,95€ in Germany! :(

  34. A dupe for this could be Bourjois 1Seconde in number 13, which is a sheer fuscia with pink lilac and silver micro glitter. I like the way the Butter glitter still looks 'glittery'though, as the Bourjois when it dries gives a rather disappointing pearlised effect. Good post

  35. This colour is super pretty! I STILL have not tried Butter London, but I love most of their colours. I refuse to buy it if it's not discounted at a beauty supply. You have really nicely shaped nail beds!
