Bourjois 123 Perfect Review

Bourjois’s latest foundation, ‘123 Perfect’ claims to perfect your complexion with three different pigments: Yellow for dark circles, Mauve for dull complexions and Green for redness.

I’m always a little skeptical with colour correcting unless you’re putting the individual colour on each targeted area, but I was willing to give it a try when Bourjois sent me a bottle this week (their Healthy Mix foundation is divine after all!)
The consistency is pretty standard for liquid foundation, maybe leaning towards the thicker end of the scale. There are only 5 shades, of which I was the second darkest, so not a fabulous range of options for darker skins (as usual!)

I felt like I needed quite a lot of product to achieve a finish that I was happy with, and even then the coverage isn’t very buildable so I didn’t feel I was left with ‘Perfect’ looking skin at all!
The finish on the skin is semi-matte and I thought it made my skin feel a little dry. At the end of the day my skin looked pretty abysmal if I’m honest. It certainly doesn’t live up to it’s 16 hour wear claim. By 7pm it was almost totally gone.

Overall, I was really not impressed with this. If you’re after a good drugstore foundation I’d go for Bourjois’ Healthy Mix, or Rimmel’s Wake Me Up.

There is also a concealer that is being released along with the foundation. It’s a stick concealer and unlike the foundation, it feels nice and creamy on the skin with decent coverage but again, the staying power wasn’t up to scratch for me either… It seemed to wear off faster than the foundation!
The Bourjois 123 Perfect foundation and concealer are out now, priced at £10.99 and £7.49 respectively.

  1. I didn't really get on with drugstore foundations. But just bought Rimmel's Wake Me Up and did a review on it this morning. Possibly the best one out there at the moment!
Looking forward to giving this one a try though!

    1. The healthy mix serum is THE BEST THING EVER. I put it above my MAC/Nars foundations and it's on par with Chanel's aqua foundation. The original is a bit meh though.

  9. I really dislike their foundations they are all way too orange on my skin & they don't cater for people with pink undertones imo! Bourjois are just not a brand i see myself ever using i don't like any of their make-up line which is a shame as others rave about it but it is just not for me!

  11. I would have been tempted by this, as I have scars on my face so I'm always using colour correcting to make them less visible. So thanks for the review, it's really helpful. Although I have to say, I just don't think stick concealers ever really work that well.
