Worth The Hype: Korres Lip Butters

When I first started making YouTube videos (almost three years ago now!) there was a definite buzz about the Korres lip butters going around the online beauty community. I never caved in and bought one so I didn't know what all the hype was about... until now. I am therefore massively late on the bandwagon in raving about how wonderful these are, but in case you're in the same boat as me... read on!

These super-soft buttery balms melt as soon as they come into contact with your skin. They are wonderfully moisturising and leave a lovely hint of colour on the lips. They all have a different shade, ranging from sheer nudes (Guava & Jasmine) to deeper berry and plum tones (Plum & Wild Rose). Each shade matches up with a different scent which seem to be of the perfect strength - strong enough to detect, but not obnoxious to the senses.

I have three of these little beauties... Jasmine, Mango & Quince. I adore them all but at a push I'd have to say Jasmine is my favourite. It smells like cookies to me and leaves your lips a gorgeous nude-pink shade.

As Korres is a 'natural' brand, the lip butters are formulated without parabens, sulphates, synthetic fragrances, petrochemical, phthalates, GMOs and triclosan. I'm not overly conscious of avoiding all of these in cosmetics, but for an every day product like lip balm, I think it's good to do so.

You can pick these up from feelunique.com for £7 including delivery, or from Sephora internationally.

  18. I've never tried this and I've actually never been the greatest fan of lipbalms simply because I hate the aftermath of having to find a napkin or a tissue to clean the finger I used to spread the balm. However, looking at the second picture, these look absolutely gorgeous as in buttery and creamy, very moisturising! Need to find theseee.

I love these Lip balms I actually have the mango one! I seem to be in love with anything orange this season! I thought you might be intresested in a post I did about the Dior 2012 catwalk makeup here http://www.amazine.com/story/569913
Lots of Orange Lips and colour! I was wondering if you had any tips of how these could become a more wearable look?

  73. I have tried the wild rose for 2 weeks now. My lips in the last few days have started to dry out and burn.
I researched the product ingredients and was SHOCKED to find out what was in it.
Plastics, alcohols, emulsifiers, and more were the top ingredients. I will stick to better products that read natural and good ingredients first.
Do your own research, look up the ingredients on Korres lip butters and you will see what your putting on your lips.
I threw mine in the trash, expensive and full of crap.
