The Caviar Manicure Finally Hits The High Street

The Caviar Manicure, as championed by Ciate, has finally hit the highstreet! It’s always a matter of time before the trends started by high-end brands inspire affordable copies, and this time it comes in the form of MUA’s ‘Nail Constellations’.

They work in exactly the same way as the Ciate variant, but they don’t come in a ‘kit’ with a coordinating nail polish. They also have a useful funnel applicator that you can switch around to pour any excess beads back into the bottle. Oh… and they are only £3, compared to Ciate’s £18!
The colours shown below are Libra (Black/Turquoise) and Pisces (Pink/Blue)
If you’d like to see a blow-by-blow tutorial on how to apply these to your nails, I made a video way back in May using the Ciate kit:

  5. Have you also seen that GOSH have reissued Holographic? Only this time they are marketing it as a short-wear nail colour, 'one night only' type thing. Probably wise.

  6. I've got Libra and love it :) It's nice with a plum coloured varnish underneath for a seasonal touch :)

  8. I've been using some which I got at a $1-$10 shop here (they sell stuff thats only between those prices, and all kinds of stuff too), and you could get teeny tiny bottles in packs of 5 with different coloured beads in each one, they're really cute!

  17. These look great, absolute bargain! Only problem is, I think that kind of effect on my nails would drive me crazy - I'd be re-doing them all the time... Soon as one pops off, I'd want to take it all off and start again! Obviously, that's just my problem :0)

  24. The black with the blue is beautiful, the website for Superdrug is so user unfriendly though, and they only have one bottle for sale, the Leo. I've just ordered a couple of bags of beads from a seller on Etsy, but they are notoriously hard to source at the right size. Well done MUA, as always, putting the customer first
