Blackheads Be Gone!

I've spoken about this product a couple of times in in my YouTube videos, but it's one of those products that is just so good, it really deserves a full review on here too.

It's the Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body. I've never been overly drawn to mud masks in the past. I don't have oily skin so it's not something I've ever really looked into, instead opting for Biore nose strips in a bid to minimise any blackheads if need be. I was given a sample of this along with a massive rave about how wonderful it is for banishing blackheads and keeping spots at bay, so I took it away with me last month and gave it a whirl... and it's fantastic.

It's quite harsh if you have even slightly sensitive skin (They do actually make one for sensitive skin, which I also got a sample of, but I didn't find it to be so effective.) Instead of using it all over my face, I just put it over my nose and chin, where I get blackheads. It then dries out and somehow seems to suck all that gunk out of my pores! I do have to be very careful not to get it on my cheeks or forehead though, as it does leave my skin looking a little angry if I do a full face mask with it (and I don't have overly sensitive skin, so do be careful if you decide to try this!)

The ingredient list includes italian mud (which is where the magical absorbing properties lie apparently!) avocado and sweet almond oils to moisturise and natural botanicals that stimulate and improve your skin tone. It is also branded as a body mask, so if you do suffer from any problem areas elsewhere on the body, I think this would be great.

I've been using this bad boy once or twice a week ever since I first tried it, and I will definitely be purchasing the full size when my sample runs out. It's the most effective product I've tried when it comes to clearing my pores. Even if you do look a little scary whilst using it...

You can buy Borghese Fango Mud Mask from CultBeauty.co.uk. It's priced at £25 for 200ml (which will last you forever if you only use it on your nose and chin like me!) My 30ml sample has lasted about 10 uses. If you have problems with blackheads, I would thoroughly this!

However, my skin is quite sensitive so I think it may be wise for me to give this one a miss :( However, my nose/chin aren't as sensitive as my cheeks, so I may just give it a go ;) Only one way to find out if it works or not! Haha, lovely review! :D

  35. Hi Fleur! Thank you so much for recommending this product. I have always had trouble with blackheads on my nose and I have lately been on the search for something to fix it. I went to Ulta here in the states and was recommended Mario Badescu Silver Powder. I felt like it did help some, but maybe not as much as I wanted (or not as much as the woman claimed in Ulta). http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/mario-badescu-silver-powder/3085814?cm_cat=datafeed&cm_ite=mario_badescu_silver_powder:292294&cm_pla=skin/body_treatment:women:scrub&cm_ven=Google_Product_Ads&mr:referralID=a59bceef-b339-11e2-a969-001b2166c2c0

  54. fleur have you seen americas fda came out with a survey that showed what lipsticks contain lead and are making people really sick you have a lot of followers that I think should know because that is actually really scary. I know there are mascaras that contain whale vomit (ew) and all kinds of gross things but never really made anyone sick so this is kind of a big deal. Just thought I would share...

  63. You know, many years ago I used to use clay/mud masks regularly and they were simple and effective, then I stopped but I was thinking about using them again this morning after a glance in the mirror at my congested face.
After reading your post I may try this one. I love Borghese, it is an Italian brand and though a bit expensive it is good quality. I remember years ago (yes again!) I bought a couple of moisturizing gloves to wear overnight for my mother in law and she loved them.
