The £15 Face Wipes

£15 face wipes. Not something I thought I would ever be persuaded to purchase, or believe were worth the money. Until Now. Enter the Ole Henriksen 'Truth to Go' wipes.

My friend Becky has raved about these for ages, and when I was given some at an event a few months back, I knew I had to try them. At first I wasn't so sure. They are scented pretty strongly of oranges and I wasn't 100% sold on that initially, but after about a week I totally fell in love with these.

I've always been a fan of a sneaky face wipe here and there. I'm awful at falling asleep on the sofa, walking upstairs like a zombie and falling into bed. At that point, face wipes seem like the perfect compromise between washing my face and falling into bed with my makeup on.

With that being said, these remove makeup like no other wipes I've tried, they don't drag on your skin, they don't dry out due to the double closure packaging, and best of all? They are actually pretty good on the ingredient list too! Compared to other wipes, my skin actually feels nourished after using them. Not greasy, not dry... just right. I know there are probably skin care know-it-alls out there who will still argue that I shouldn't be using these, but I've come to realise that my skin seems to love these, to the point where I notice how much better it looks when I'm using them. I went back to using my previous favourites from Soap & Glory and really disliked them in comparison. I never thought I would say it, but I'm totally sold on £15 face wipes. Oh dear...

If you feel like trying these, to soften the blow they are currently 10% off in the feel unique sale (with free international delivery) Or if you are based in the US, they are about a third cheaper (I've started stocking up on these when I go over there!)

  1. Definitely going to be picking this up in the sale! Sounds amazing. I hate dry face wipes so this sounds right up my street!

  5. As much as I hate the thought of using a face wipe on my skin, these sound like a good choice for someone who like you say wants to bridge that gap between falling asleep on the sofa and heading upstairs to bed without the thought of cleansing. Although £15 seems a bit crazy for wipes when you break it down that's only 50p a wipe, advertising and packaging and ingredients considered at least you know you're putting something well put together on your face. I wouldn't buy them personally but this was quite useful if I ever in the future feel the urge to get a sneaky pack of wipes for those can't be bothered to even micellar moments ;)

  6. How do these feel on your skin after you have used them? I know you said your skin feels nourished but do they irritate your eye area at all? I have had no luck with every kind of wipe that I try because they ALL irritate my eyes if they get too close ( I am not using them to take my eye makeup off) and I totally trust your opinion so if they do not irritate your eyes at all I am going to try them! Great post!

  7. In my opnion, Ole Henriksen is a brand that doesn't get enough attention but it does some great products. Admittedly they are a little bit more pricey than some other brands, but they are sooo lovely to use - I thoroughly recommend the Truth range for intense hydration! Xx

  23. I like the idea of them being orange scented, but think I'll stick to my baby wipes! 80 for £1-2. They may not be as nourishing, but they take my makeup off without leaving my skin irritated or dry, and that's all I really look for in face wipes!

  27. I can be quite lazy when it comes to removing make-up and always use a baby wipe which is totally bad. I got some yes to cucumber towelettes recently and I haven't used them yet but they'll be on my product to use list when I go to remove my make-up later. They do sound good but not sure about the £15 price.

They run about $15 in the US and for about $3 cheaper are the Korres Pomegranate wipes, also a favorite, but come in second to the OH.
