Frosted Fingertips

Seeing as it is now December, I've cracked out the glitter polishes, and won't be relinquishing them 'till the new year! I'm a total glitter junkie when it comes to nail polish, so Christmas time is my favourite time of year for painting my nails. (Not that you can't wear it all year round, but it seems more appropriate at Christmas time!)
I loved Illamasqua's new glitter polish 'Blizzard' at first sight...

White glitters aren't the most common and this one is exceptionally pretty, however, I was a bit disappointed as the glitter came out quite sheer on the nails.
Layered over Lancome's Flocon Blanc (520)... it was a different story though! I love the super frosty effect. A match made in glittery heaven.
The first festive nail of many to come this month!
What do you think?

  1. These go so well together, I love the soft focus look on the glitter, making it not so 'in your face'. I love when December comes, I feel like I can go bright again rather than wearing darker mellow colours for winter.
Really enjoyed day one of vlogmas, should be fun to see you both in LA and New York, hopefully it wont snow loads on either flight, that happened to me a few years ago!

  69. I love glitter and sparkly polishes at this time of year, I love layering them over different colour polishes and making different combinations! I got a set of three mini ones from Models Own recently (a classic sequinny silver, a glittery pink and a shimmery grey) which are great if for trying new looks if you don't think you'll use them that often.

I wonder if you have any tips or recommended removers for taking off glittery polishes? I always find it so hard!

  89. I love this polish! Another good one to try is Julep--they are a boutique nail salon in the Pacific Northwest. You can mail order from them. They have a beautiful collection called "the new neutrals." Would love to see you review this. Also FYI, there is a site called www.10dollarmall.com. Everything there is 10 dollars and they have a HUGE selection of NYX everything, along with OPI nail polish for around 5.00. When you think that in the states OPI is about 11.00 if you buy it from your manicurist and over 5.00 at the drug store that is a steal.
