Hi Everyone!
It's been nearly a month now since I've been using my MBT's so I thought I'd let you all know how I'm getting along with them. I've been wearing them most days to walk the dog and so far I have to say I have noticed a difference in a few areas. Firstly, my legs do get more tired when I'm walking... considerably more tired. If I'm walking up a hill, I really notice the difference. I definitely feel the change in my posture also. They make you feel like you're standing up super straight, and even standing, you can feel your muscles working (rather than my usual, sloppy posture!)
I haven't noticed any difference in terms of weight loss or toning, but then without before and after shots, it's not something that can be thoroughly compared (I'm I refuse to put before and after snaps of my thighs on here... sorry guys!). All in all I definitely feel like they are working my legs, improving my posture, and wearing me out much quicker than if I was wearing conventional shoes. Overall I'm pretty impressed with them. I wouldn't say that I was skeptical at first, but I definitely didn't expect to be able to feel them really working my legs like I do. I can actually feel my thighs burning when I'm walking up a hill which, in normal footwear, I wouldn't feel a thing!
If you're walking any long distances everyday I'd say they are definitely worth looking in to (perfect if you walk to work, then change into heels when you get there!) I've also heard great things about their capacity for improving posture for medical reasons... a lot of people left me comments on my YouTube channel saying wearing them helped to improve poor posture and bad backs, so if you suffer from either they could be worth a go!
They aren't the best looking shoe in the world, there is no denying that, but for most situations where you walk a long way, they don't need to be! I'm a big fan of mine, and I will continue to wear them.
MBT actually sent me a pair of their new limited edition Wunderkind shoes (above), designed by Wolfgang Joop (The man behind Joop!) to give away to one lucky reader. I have one pair of UK size 4 (EU 37, US 6.5) in blue, so if that's your size... you're in luck! These shoes are available exclusively from Harrods and are priced at £360 (yes, you read that right).
In order to be in with a chance of winning these... all you have to do is:
1. Be a follower of my blog
2. Write me a comment telling me your top tip for keeping up your fitness, and the main reason you'd like to try out MBTs
3. Don't forget to include your email address so that I can contact you if you win
Good luck girls!

Those are cute! Generally my fitness is just chasing after my 5 year old and keeping up with our very lively golden retriever! Those shoes would be great for when I walk the dog. He still just a puppy (9 months old) so he gets a few good walks per day. neutrakris@gmail.com

While I love to go to the gym and get in a great workout, that's only about 20% of a healthy lifestyle. The other 80% is eating healthy. You can workout everyday, but if you go home and eat a pizza or ice cream you won't see any progress. My top fitness tip is to eat healthy. Five to six meals a day that consist of healthy carbs (sweet potato, brown rice), protein (chicken or beef), and some kind of green veggie (asparagus, broccoli). When I eat clean, I have more energy, confidence, and my I just feel better in general.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see if my posture improved by wearing the MBT's!
I'm their working out for you! Thanks for doing a giveaway!
coco.bella22@gmail.com
my fitness is generally walking more and not taking the car unless its too far to walk of course! i would love to try these out to just tone my legs, not really to lose weight
ReplyDeletesabina.khan@hotmail.co.uk xx
I am probably one of laziest people ever, so exercise for me has to be fun. So things such as swimming, aerobics, water aerobics and pilates.
ReplyDeleteAlso doing it with friends is great motivation and again makes it fun :D

I don't really exercise much at all especially after having the last several months off uni! so i've just been trying to eat healthy and keep active by going on days out so I don't think about eating as much and also taking my 2 dogs for walks seen as the rest of my family have been back at work/school! I would love to try these my postures awful after slouching in lectures at uni and on the sofa at home, my thighs are the one thing I would love to tone up more then anything! so these would be perfect :)
ReplyDeletereally good blog!
kirstyrawrr@hotmail.co.uk xxx
walking up stairs, that is the main thing for me for sure. not using an elevator works a charm on your buns and legs :)
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to try these for so long,as I am fascintated by the masai technology and my posture needs improved for sure.

I live in a village so I jog every morning to help me be fit. I would like to try these because I'm sure these babies will help improve my posture. :)
ReplyDeletepurplewhyt[at]yahoo[dot]com
Hehe, I don't blame you for not posting thigh pics! I wouldn't in a million years!
ReplyDeleteI won't be entering as I'm not a size 4 but good luck to everyone else! Xx

I never have enough time to keep fit or go to the gym(i know, i should) my top tip is taking the stairs and not the lift!! My college just stopped use of the life for students, and even though its only a teeny tiny thing, it helps tone the legs considerable, i feel the burn every morning!!!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a pair as I do a lot of dog walking (like you) and also love how having a good posture puts a few inches on a persons height :)! PICK MEEE. xx
My main tip for keeping in shape is to do small amounts of exercise everyday that way I don't feel overwhelmed. It could be dancing, or even justr walking. I've heard good things about this company and since I've been sick for a bit I really wanna get back into shape and this seems like a fun and easy way to do that.
ReplyDeleteI would like to win these shoes because I do a lot of walking! I live right next to the beach so I'm always on the promenade. My top fitness tip is to walk your way fit! Getting fit doesn't necessarily mean slogging your brains out at the gym. At least 40 minutes a day walking at a fairly fast pace. Its not hard to do and it doesn't even feel like you're exercising! x
ReplyDeleteOh and my email is lydiaoc26@hotmail.com x
ReplyDeletei keep fit by taking long walks with my dog and kind of watching what i eat but some "bad" food slips in (lol)i would like to win them so that i get get toned legs with out doing a million squats.

I drink lots of water. I'd like to try these because I don't have a good walking shoe. I have Arthritis & need to get walking again. Thx Fleur! terandbob(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI keep fit by walking more often. I walk to the tube station and my gym instead of driving, I try and take the stairs instead of lifts and escaltors, simple things that add up basically.
ReplyDeleteI'd like the shoes to improve my posturee, as I'm I'm pretty sure slouching only makes me look shorter and also I'd also like them to help tone my lover half.
Thanks Pink
Pnariny@hotmail.com
I keep fit by wearing a pedometer, you def walk more than the 10,000 recommended steps a day when you have something keeping tabs! lol It also makes you more likely to take stairs or park further away from work, just so you can get those extra steps in! Walking lots really does work wonders!
ReplyDeleteim keeping my fingers crossed for this one!

My main fitness tip is to find something you enjoy - then you're more likely to stick with it. Just like you, i'd like to try them for walking my wee dog - he'd walk 100 miles a day if i'd take him, so i'd be back in shape in no time! :)
ReplyDeleteamandabeaton@hotmail.com
I would love to see if these help with my bad back! :D
ReplyDeleteI've been suffering from awful back pains for years due to my posture and my "top heavy" body shape, so I've found that I can't exercise as vigorously as I'd like.
So the top tip that I've come up with is to balance the amount of exercise with the amount of unhealthy food I eat. :)
I stick with an hour a day of working out, then an extra half hour for every meal of junk I eat.
My email address is: floralprintnotebook@live.co.uk
Hope to hear from you soon!!
Love, Bee x
I just simply try to eat healthy, sleep well and keep myself happy. Those are simple, and they keep you pretty healthy, both from the inside and out!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, jogging from time to time isn't bad ;)
I would love to try those out, they could make me want to go for walks more, and since they're super expensive, I'd never be able to afford them...
pinsuli@hotmail.com !
my main tip is to STOP SNAKING and drink plenty of water :D
ReplyDeletei would love to win these shoes because my posture isn't great, and i think would deffinatly benefit from them
many thanks <3
jodie.moores@hotmail.com :):)
I love going for walks in the countryside. I also try to take the stairs instead of the lift and I try to drink plenty of water.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try these shoes as I fell down the stairs a few years ago and have suffered from a bad back since so these shoes would help alleviate my back pain and would also help with my bad posture
Email: aoifecollins90@hotmail.co.uk
I keep fit by Dancing, it really is my passion. =) I go hiphopping/streetdancing one a week, go to zumba once a week and every now and than I go to pilates. =) I love it. I'd love these shoes for when I can't go dancing because of to much schoolwork, but I would still be able to do some type of fitness just wearing these shoes around the house, or going to the supermarket.
ReplyDeletekerry_ryckbosch@hotmail.com
As much walking as I can, I skip taking the car, walk in the countryside when the weather permits.
ReplyDeleteWould love the MBT's to make this even more beneficial.
I don't keep fit half as much as I should - I used to run a lot but since I relocated I just haven't yet. I will though! I've tried MBTs once before and actually really agree with the tired legs syndrome. Sadly I had to give them back. lucy@misslucyloves.com xx
ReplyDeletemy fit tip would be to incorporate exercise into your daily life e.g. taking the stairs instead of the lift :) walking to school instead of getting a lift etc. I'd like to try these as I have always seen this kind of system in shoes but never tried them out before :) sprinklewithsunshine@hotmail.com xxxx
ReplyDeleteMy main tip is eating healthy and walking everyday! I would love the MBT's because I do walk a lot because I have a heart condition that does not allow me to raise my heart level too much (i've had it all my life ughhhh)so walking is about the only thing I can do, but I do enjoy walking and these would be very beneficial for me and make the most of my walking : ) email: silyblonde@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletemy fit tip would be to always be conscious of what you're eating and to ensure that you're always eating healthy and to always to ensure you are incorporating some element of physical exercise in the day :)
ReplyDeletei would love to try mbt's because i've been going to the gym since i was 13 (i am now 18) as i am extremely into my fitness and i would love to try these out to see if they live up to the hype :)
plus, you are AWESOME Fleur! you're blog is addictive! xx
ngoooccc@gmail.com
My main tip is to always take the stairs! Never skimp out on esclators or lifts, You can exercise and tone those legs by changing every day to day life!
ReplyDeleteI would love to get these because i'm on a serious mission to tone up my tree trunk legs!x
email: glossyglamour13@gmail.com
My main tip is to try and go for a walk for a minimum of half an hour every day. If you have a dog, try and go for longer walks, not only will you feel the benefit but your pooch will appreciate a longer walk. After a while try and go for a short run while you are out aswell, fitness levels will soon increase if you are consistent. If you don't have a dog, take a friend or neighbours dog for a walk. That way you're getting excercise and helping someone out at the same time!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try these out as my tighs are my problem areas! No matter what I do they are always the last place a see any difference at all. So annoying!
email: louloubell1989@hotmail.co.uk
I find my job involves a lot of walking, so that's been my way of keeping fit in the past year! It's a great way to burn off calories without even realising it. I suffer from bad posture so these would be great if you've noticed they make you stand straighter. That's what I need; none of this slouching about. :)
ReplyDeleteketfacebook@gmail.com
xx keep up the great posts.
Yayy :) I'm a UK size 4 ^^
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower. My top tip for keeping up with my fitness is do alot of walking. My bedroom is the loft conversion, therefore i have to run up 2 flight of stairs to reach my room. I probably walk up and down the stairs 20-30 times a day since im pretty forgetful and end up leaving stuff i need downstairs :O
The main reason i'll like to try out the MBTs is because i'm just starting at college atm, so i no longer have PE lessons. It would be awesome to tone up and get fitter while walking to school in them.
purplely0@gmail.com
Fingers crossed ^^
My top tip for keeping my fitness is to buy a rowing machine and plop it in the living room at home, right in front of the TV. Doing exercise whilst watching Gossip Girl has to be the easiest thing ever: 1) Your mind is so wrapped up in the plot, 20mins fly by. 2) when your arms start to ache, you just keep fixated on Jenny or Serena's toned limbs and keep going anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe main reason I'd like to win the MBTs is the fact that my posture is awful. I used to slouch a lot when I was younger since I was the tallest in the class and it's a habit hard to kick. Also, I'm a biochemist at uni, with tons of labs, so it'd be great to use the MBTs for a lil bit of exercise/toning.
Email: princess.of.illyria@googlemail.com
Hope i win!
My main tip is.. well. I am incredibly bad at sports, however, I find that walking ~45-60 minutes every day and eating small amount of food 3-4 times a day really works. I don't feel hungry and I never seem to be full. Oh, and I gave up sweets! Now I wait for an opportunity to eat sweets (like when I finish my paper, etc.) it's actually a lot of fun and I started enjoying chocolate more now :) I would like to get stronger and build some muscle though. That's why I would love to try out the MBT's!
ReplyDeletekamile.p93@gmail.com
Every times there's a break on the telly I do jumping jacks. They're soooo tiresome but really make you out of breath whilst toning your butt :) emma0m@hotmail.co.uk xxxx
ReplyDeleteHey!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy top tip is spin classes, they are hard but fun and i love working out with other people and to music, equally going for jogs can really clear your mind. I would love to try these out as i love to go for jogs as i already mentioned.
Loving the blog xxx
ehowers@hotmail.co.uk xx
my fitness tip is to try and walk as fast as possible. this seems crazily simple but it works and you can feel all the muscles in your legs toning (especially uphill). doesnt even have to be crazily fast like some professional walker but enough to make you slightly out of breath. i do it everywhere and my legs are slim and quite toned from it, you'll notice a difference!
ReplyDeleteemmabeans89@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks and try my tip! xx
Jogging :)
ReplyDeletedi_beauty@hotmail.com
Hello fleur!! The reason I would like to win those shoes is because it will help me with my new resolution to change my posture, and the toning will be great too, I follow your blogh through google reader.
ReplyDeletejendelris@gmail.com
Hi! I was so excited when i saw this competition! I used to do a lot of running but since I moved to central london I've been too scared to go out running with so many cars and people, so instead I walk the 45 minutes to and from uni every day. It would be so great to get the extra workout during my walk to uni, especially on the days where I'm late and I have to power walk!
ReplyDeleteMy top fitness tip at the moment, apart from walking lots, is Tracy Anderson's dvds. I've been doing them at home for a month now and the results are insane! You have to try them out :)
My email address is: innes.lee.09@ucl.ac.uk
Thanks!x
My tip would be WALK! it works all areas without just working so hard on one area and also u dont get bored than if u were in the gym, like you can go out with friends and walk & talk OR you can also walk your dog, which i love doing.
ReplyDeleteThe main reson i'd like these is because since i do walk so much, i'd think these would definality benifet me in the long run (i tend to have sore backs) also thats my size! :) and there is no way i could afford a pair like that! lol

My top tip is walking, I'm kinda glad that my uni is 20 mins away from my house so I can walk there and back everyday. I find walking less boring than working out in the gym. Also, you can do it while youre shopping lol. I'd like to try these shoes as i was a bit skeptical about them at first but as youre feeling a difference, I'd like to test them out too.

eating and drinking healthily benefits the body the most but also to lose that flab just create an exercise routine suited to you and just 15 mins a day makes a huge difference!
ReplyDeletethese shoes would be perfect for when I walk to and from school and in classrooms I slouch most of the time so this can improve my posture a lot!
emily_ho@hotmail.co.uk
Hi Fleur!
ReplyDeleteMy fitness tip at the moment is - playing netball! Going to the gym became monotonous & repetitive & I wanted to do something different... so I decided to join a social league in London! I could honestly say that I work at least 5x harder playing netball as it requires alot of energy & stamina working out every part of your body. Being part of a team not only encourages commitment as I feel I cannot let my team down & the competitive edge drives me to work extra hard. I now also organised a netball night on with work too! So I play 2 nights a week. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone for sure~
I would like to try the MBTs because I sit at a desk all day long at work and my parents & bf have been on at me for becoming 'hunch back' so it would be an awesome first step to helping me regain my posture.

my top tip is just to keep busy :) i mean... not always rushing here and there but i mean just keep yourself up and about! like i dont pump iron at the gym at all... instead i just make sure im not lazy!
ReplyDeleteso i'll walk/powerwalk, take the stairs, help my mum on the shopping round, hoover, go on the trampoline with friends and dancing at parties is great...and FUN etc. etc.!
of course i still have time where i jst sit down and relax..and youtube :P
but seriously.. its the best and easiest way ever!
i would love to try these to help my posture! it would definitely help me with my piano aswel, as you have to have such good posture and i always hunch back :'( so yeah.... thank you sorry for the epic comment!

My top tip is to go to the gym regularly and eat healthily! I want to try the MBTs as I really want to tone my legs and improve my posture.
ReplyDeleteshandelsam@gmail.com
my top tip is doing sit-ups! a few at night, and in the morning, then gradually doing more and more over the months (e.g. starting with 20, going to around 30, 40, 50 etc a day). Also, drinking water - lots of it :D. it all takes time i think lol. I'd like to try the MBT's because i am a dog walker, and wearing these everyday to walk the dogs will hopefully *fingers crossed* help tone my legs too, unfortuantly my sit-ups don't benefit my thighs :(. have a lovely day fleur! my email is lau_bridges@hotmail.co.uk x
ReplyDeleteWater aerobics. You burn tons of calories and it doesn't hurt your joints. Plus, how is splashing around in a pool to music not fun?
ReplyDeleteMy tip is just walking more- walking everywhere and always taking the stairs! I also drink a ton of water!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could afford these shoes as my posture is awful! xx

Hi Fleur, My top fitness tip is to get a springer spaniel... (which you already have!) No matter how much I walk Alfie he never seams to get tired!? I Also eat really healthy all week and treat myself at weekends.. you can't be good all the time :o)
ReplyDeleteI am very curious about these shoes... I could walk to work but i always end up jumping in the car... if i had these shoes it would make the walk more worth while i think and improve my terrible slouchiness!
Thanks!

Hi Fleur, I have a few very simple tips: Park in the furthest parking spot from the store in order to force you to walk a little further... take the stairs instead of the elevator... get a loved one to drop you off a mile away from your house, and then there's no bailing because you HAVE to walk the mile to get home! :)
ReplyDeleteFor the shoes, I think they would really improve my posture. I'm a bad sloucher. It's a habit I've had since my preteens, and even now at 26 I can't seem to stop. Perhaps these shoes are the solution?

my main concern is my tummy. I found following two tips help me keep in shape:
ReplyDelete1. After a meal(breakfast/lunch/supper), I dont sit down until at least 30 mins later. It's very good for digest system and helps food break down quicker. It helps to promote healthy and regular bowel movements. You will not notice any drastic improvements over night but keeping up with this daily will reduce your "tummy ring" over time.
2. Obviously going for long walks is very good but also try this. When walking(shopping), try to take deep breath and suck in your tummy as you walk. Try to hold your breath as long as you can and as natually as you can, you dont want to make a scene on the street. If you feel faint, then you take it too extreme:). This is Asian concept that is proven to work. It definitly burns fat and also improves your prosture.
I am working in a very busy office and generally work 10-12 hours every day. Walking to work is the only chance I get to keep fit. I have thought about MBT for a while since they fit in with my routine. I really appreciate your genorisity and assure you they will be put to good use.
My email address: lixiasun@hotmail.co.uk
I don't know about the fitness thing, but I have some shoe inserts. They just pop inside your shoes and instantly your shoes are super comfortable. Soooo many people have collapsed arches that means your whole body is waaay out of kilter and you're most likely to get back pain etc.
ReplyDeleteIt also means you can wear any shoes you like!

Dear Fleur,
ReplyDeleteMy top fitness tip is to incorporate exercise into my daily routine as much as possible; I will always take the stairs, walk instead of taking the bus for short distances, and of course, the ultimate fun workout is shopping (and the more you buy, the better the weightlifting exercise)! I would love to try the MBTs to add some burn to my daily 30 minute walk to work.
Thanks Fleur!

My top tip would be playing a sport/s that you love, its alot easier and enjoyable to exercise when your having fun :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try the MBTs to help me tone up and work on posture.

As i'm such a lazy person, my tip would be doing pilatis! sport can't get any better than this- lying in a bed and working one part of your body at a time... you won't even sweat!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to try the MBT since I have some back aches from studying, but because I'm a student I can't really affored them at the moment! :)
Thanks Fleur!

Drink water...a LOT of water. And tell everyone you know that you're trying to loose weight/tone up etc. It'll give you motivation!
ReplyDeleteI'm giving the bus pass a rest and making sure I walk everywhere from now on. If these indeed provide the "burn" - I'll be happy. By the start of next summer I'll have thighs that could crush a watermelon. WOO!
Thanks love! xx
