*Guest Blog* Lush Brazened Honey Review

This week I'm having a Guest Blog Takeover! The first is guest blogger is Jess from DitzyGlamour who is reviewing Lush's Brazened Honey Face Mask for you all...

Lush is one of my favourite stores ever. They have the most amazing products, and I literally want to try them all. If any of you follow my blog, you'll know I was on the lookout for products that helped with my dull skin. I asked one of the sales assistants and she recommeneded the Brazened Honey face mask.

I'll admit I'm not a big fan of honey scented products, but this one was different. It didn't have an overpowering smell and smelt more like almonds and spices (which obviously also feature in the face mask).

As it needs to be kept in the fridge, I found it a little uncomfortable applying the actual product, as it was quite tough and, frankly, cold. Once applied, I left on for fifteen minutes. I couldn't quite relax as it was cold so it was more of a pick-me-up face mask rather than a soothing, relaxing one. It washed off easily, without much mess.

I noticed an immediate transformation in my skin. It looked clearer, brighter and much more radiant. I was practically glowing! (not literally but you get what I mean). My skin still looked great a few days after. The pot size is perfect as you can only use it for 4 weeks (it goes off!) and if you use it twice a week, you'll find it finishes just in time. I would recommend this product to anyone who has skin that needs a bit of life put into it. And if you're looking for something different, I suggest speaking to one of the sales assistant's in Lush, they'll help find a face mask perfect for you!

Brazened Honey costs £5.75 and is available in store and online. I hope you enjoyed reading my guest post.

  11. I think the only honey scented product I'm head over heels for is Lush's Honey I Washed the Kids soap. I'm much more of a fruity scent gal so this was a surprise to me. But love the review! Keep up the great work and I <3 your YouTube videos.

  15. This product sounds really interesting! I am always hesitant to use the fresh products from LUSH, because they're a bit pricey, and there aren't very many good reviews of the product. Your review, however, is extremely informative :) Thank you! For those of you who don't live near a LUSH, you could try making a similar product on your own. All you need is 2tbs of honey, ground almonds (2 tbs), cinnamon powder, tumeric, ginger, and an an egg yolk. The LUSH version has more spices, but you only need a few.

  16. I tried cosmetic warrior and it broke out my skin. I'll have to try this one. Speaking of honey masks, has anyone tried the "Honey I washed the Kids" soap? Amazing stuff! It smells so heavenly, and the honey isn't at all overwhelming.

  17. Brazened Honey is hands down my absolute favourite face mask right now. I literally felt like it transformed my skin from the time I applied it to the time I took it off! I've been all about brightening formulas this summer and this not only made my skin more radiant, but it also made it clearer! I recently did a review of a bunch of LUSH products on my blog Shop, Drop n' Roll. Check it out if you get the chance!!! :)
