I’m not sure if
it’s because I love eating figs themselves, but something about the fig scent
smells so clean and fresh, and Pixi have managed to add a little extra
something into the mix. It still manages to smell like a ‘real’ perfume, but
retains that fresh fruit smell. It’s not sweet, but it’s simply delicious. On
first spray it almost smells a little like cut grass… so fresh and unusal. It’s also most definitely a
summer scent, but I love it so much I really don’t care! I’m going to be
wearing this all winter I think! The bottle is so plain and simple, I think it's quite chic.
The staying power
isn’t the best (considering it’s an Eau de Parfum) but it will give you a good
few hours of wear.
Pixi also have two
other fragrances in the collection, each created for the founder Petra’s
sisters. I’m not a huge fan of the other two (Rose and Mimosa) but I love the thought that has obviously gone into
creating the collection for her family…so sweet!
Pixi Fig is only
available in 30ml Eau de Parfum, £24 in store and online. (It’s also available
in an oil roll on for some reason it doesn’t smell as good to me!)
what a unique scent, I totally agree with you, the bottle is so plain and simple but at the same time its so classy. :) xx

ReplyDeleteHow intriguing! Like you, I am surprised to see that Pixi have fragrances, but I too love figs, so I'm definitely going to sneak a whiff of this little beauty :)x
ReplyDeleteI definitely need to try this one out. And I love that you say its a summer scent! Who cares that its winter?! Lets all just pretend it's still summer and ignore the cold :) xx
ReplyDeleteooh, the packaging is very nice, love the colour and the simplicity of it all (:
ReplyDeleteFig makes it sound quite horrible to me(Not a massive fan of actual figs though!) but i'll definitely be checking it out.
ReplyDeleteSo surprised to find out Pizi sell fragrances too, must say i think the packaging is really lovely. Very simple but still nice.

I love eating figs too...they are quite light in flavour and scent so I think it might be quite hard to actually capture the fragrance of figs...but I love smelling interpretations of what figs are in perfumes and lotions...I adore the Korres Fig body milk...!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like an interesting scent^^
ReplyDeletebut I like fresh scent, I want to check this out!
haha
I have fig&Shea Butter body wash from Aveeno and I like the smell is very comfy.. I guess fig scent is not strong with a hint of sweetness..!
thanks for this review^^

The idea of a fig scented perfume is one to think about for me, but then i was slightly causious about the name "English Pear & Freesia Cologne" by Jo Malone untill i smelt it, i've been hooked on it ever since. I think i'll have to have a smell next time im passing.

ReplyDeleteCar Scent
I love this fragrance! I was just about to post about it and I saw your review! I totally agree about the roller-ball, it smelt a bit weird, but I love the spray. xx
ReplyDeleteI know this post comes ridiculously late after you posted the above, but I've just discovered this fragrance and bought some on ebay, literally JUST as it's gone out of stock at Pixi :( Anyway, I am so, so in love with it and wondered if you ever found a body lotion that layers well with it? I have Laura Mercier's Fig body butter, which is also lush, but given that's a really sweet, gourmand fruity smell, and this is much greener and sharper and leafier, they really wouldn't work together. Any other ideas so I can moisturise without clashing scents would be much appreciated!
