This post has been a long time in the
making...
My brother got married almost a month ago, on September 10th, and I was given the (rather scary!) responsibility of doing the makeup. I thought you might be interested to see
what I used on the day, and of course some of the pictures of the beautiful bride and her bridesmaids (myself included!)
When I laid the products out on the floor
to take this picture it actually looked like a lot of products, but the looks
we went for on the day were very natural, classic ‘bridal’ looks.
Firstly, for the bride…

Armani Fluid Sheer in Pale Shimmering Rose, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua in B30,
Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda Concealer Palette, Bare Minerals Original Mineral
Veil, Urban Decay Eyelash Curlers, Sleek Contour Kit in Light (I only used the
contour shade), Stila Kitten Highlighting duo, MAC blush in Desert Rose, Urban
Decay Primer Potion, MAC Brow Set, Smashbox Brow Tech in Brunette, Bobbi Brown
Gel Eyeliner in Espresso Ink, NARS Eyeshadow in Ashes to Ashes, MAC Eyesahdows
in Orb, Naked Lunch, Omega and Embark, Estee Lauder Crystal Baby Lipstick, MAC
Creamsheen Glass in Deelight, YSL Touche Eclat (2), YSL Effet Faux Cils Mascara
in black, Estee Lauder Sumptuous waterproof mascara in black (for the bottom
lashes!), Skindinavia setting spray for Oily skin, A selection of brushes from
MAC, Royal & Langnickel Sigma, Smashbox and BH Cosmetics.
A closer look at some of the shades...

The Bride (didn't she look beautiful?!) I know this picture is in black and white, but it was just so pretty...
For the Bridesmaids…

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel, Benefit Sugarbomb, BareMinerals Original mineral
veil, Skindinavia setting spray (various formulations), Urban Decay Primer

The happy couple...
We all had such a fabulous day, and I don't think I've ever seen the bride and groom look so happy!
There is one thing I hate about weddings though... They seem to go so quickly! I never wanted the day to end and it went by in a flash!
Disclaimer: I bought most of the products shown, some were press samples

Great products. You all look gorgeous and very happy! Just wondering how you use your chanel bronze universal as there is a weird pattern in the product in the pot, and mine doesnt have that, so i think it must be down to the way you use it. Thanks xx

ReplyDeletei have to say looking at your swatches the two colours that i thought "WOW" was the Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Silk eyeshadows in 9 and 6. they are so beautiful and i think you made a great choice to use them for a wedding as they are such neutral pretty colours but the intense shimmer/shine really makes them pop. Love love love.
