I've been raving about my First Aid Beauty body moisturiser for the past few weeks so I thought it was about time I did a full review on my blog for you all.
I hadn't heard of First Aid Beauty (or 'FAB') before I received a sample of their body moisturiser in my GlossyBox a few months ago, but I'm so glad I've discovered this brand. If you haven't heard of them, they are a back-to-basics skincare line that is great for sensitive skin. They are unscented and don't contain paragons, phthalates, alcohol or artificial dyes.
The two products I've tried from the brand are the Body Moisturiser and the Ultra Repair Cream. These two products are actually pretty similar in terms of formulation and texture, but the Ultra Repair Cream is slightly richer and more moisturising.
Both are very rich and creamy. They feel more like a balm on the skin than a cream, but are absorbed very quickly. These have been so wonderful for the sensitive skin on my upper arms, chest and back. The Ultra Repair Cream is especially great for these areas as well as dry elbows, knees and toes!
The best thing about both of these products is that they leave your skin feeling totally non-greasy, yet super-soft. It's almost impossible to find intensive moisture treatment products that aren't super greasy, so if you suffer from dry and sensitive skin I'd thoroughly recommend this brand!
The one downside to the body moisturiser is that the packaging isn't ideal. The texture of the product is super thick and rich, so it can be a little difficult to get out of the bottle. I think it would be much better in a squeeze-able tube, like the Ultra Repair Cream.
If you live in the US, you can pick up FAB products in Sephora. For everyone else, you can find them at feelunique.com with free international delivery! The Body Moisturiser retails for £13 or $18, and the Ultra Repair Cream for £8 or $12. They aren't the most affordable body products, but in my opinion they are well worth it, especially if you suffer with sensitive, irritable skin!
been looking for something like this for a while now. am definitely giving these a try! thanks for the review :) x
ReplyDeleteI love this brand! I tried a few of their skincare products and loved them ! Think I might have to get the Ultra Repair Cream soon :)
ReplyDeleteoh, cool!!! Thanks for the site. I have extremely dry skin and am on the hunt for the perfect moisturizer for years. After some time, my skin gets used to all of them and they stop working. For sure will give this a try =)

ReplyDeleteI love these, also you can buy them in some Boots! :) xx
ReplyDeleteThese look really good, I might try these out! x
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that they have still left in some irritants so sensitive skins should be cautious with these products (I have eczema & allergies)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I didn't like their products, well the two I got in GlossyBox's .. (Face cleanser and Body wash) .. So if anyone is interested In buying them off me.. send me an email at vicki.penton@gmail.com Can't bare to just throw stuff away.
ReplyDeleteI guess it is worth giving it a try ! Thank you
ReplyDeleteThey sell them in Boots! :)
ReplyDeleteI'd give them a shot, I need to get tough on some eczema on my arms, who knows this might do the trick.

ReplyDeleteI tried them at Sephora a few months back and I love them! As soon as I run out of my current moisturizer I'll go grab some. :)
ReplyDeleteI am a beauty consultant at Boots and we stock FAB in store :-) xx
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to track down a sample size of the body wash but I can't find one anywhere, and I don't want to risk buying a full size it if I don't like it/it doesn't get on with my skin. Gaaah what to do?

Have you ever tried the Soap and Glory shower gels? Divine! Especially the one (which the name escapes me right now) with almond, honey and oats. It is gorgeous and so silky smooth. Love your posts

YES! I love this brand, one of the only things i can use on my skin. I use the face cleanser and the daily face cream as my staples. Actually a really good way to try the brand is the essentials kit from boots ( how i tried it :P ) it's only £10 and you get the cleanser, daily face cream, a body wash and body moisturiser! Amazing! http://www.boots.com/en/FAB-Essentials-Kit_1189153/

My skin gets really dry during Spring for some reason and I've been looking for a moisturiser for ages that wouldn't irritate my skin. I'll have to give this a try, thank you for reviewing it! :)

Very helpful review Fleur. After seeing Louise rave about this skincare line also, I'm chomping at the bit to give it a try. I like the fact that it's super moisturising and frangrance free. I have a fragrance free facial moisturiser and I'm in love with it. I'm not overly keen on covering my sensitive skin in so much...well...frangrance! So this is the perfect option for me. Feelunique here I come!
