The Caviar Manicure, as championed by
Ciate, has finally hit the highstreet! It’s always a matter of time before the
trends started by high-end brands inspire affordable copies, and this time it
comes in the form of MUA’s ‘Nail Constellations’.
They work in exactly the same way as the
Ciate variant, but they don’t come in a ‘kit’ with a coordinating nail polish.
They also have a useful funnel applicator that you can switch around to pour
any excess beads back into the bottle. Oh… and they are only £3, compared to
Ciate’s £18!
The colours shown below are Libra
(Black/Turquoise) and Pisces (Pink/Blue)
If you’d like to see a blow-by-blow
tutorial on how to apply these to your nails, I made a video way back in May
using the Ciate kit:
Wow, I love the look of these! They are really affordable too :) x

I can't wait to try these out :)! xx

Have you also seen that GOSH have reissued Holographic? Only this time they are marketing it as a short-wear nail colour, 'one night only' type thing. Probably wise.
ReplyDeleteI've got Libra and love it :) It's nice with a plum coloured varnish underneath for a seasonal touch :)

Libra looks amazing. Shame they're always out of stock at my local Superdrug x
ReplyDeleteI've been using some which I got at a $1-$10 shop here (they sell stuff thats only between those prices, and all kinds of stuff too), and you could get teeny tiny bottles in packs of 5 with different coloured beads in each one, they're really cute!
ReplyDeleteI got one recently but I haven't used it yet! Thank you for showing me how it will look :D

These look great, absolute bargain! Only problem is, I think that kind of effect on my nails would drive me crazy - I'd be re-doing them all the time... Soon as one pops off, I'd want to take it all off and start again! Obviously, that's just my problem :0)
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing

This is almost the best news all day! Haha :) I wanted to do a caviar manicure for Christmas parties but really didn't think £18 was worth it, now I can have guilt free caviar manicures!! Thanks for posting this :) x
ReplyDeleteNo way! I can't believe MUA are doing this, this is so affordable! I definitely want to try the black one with blue bits! xx
ReplyDeletewww.awkward-queen.blogspot.co.uk
It looks amazing for only £3!

looks AMAZING !

i love that ,caviar make the nail so amazing >.<
ReplyDeletecheck my blog-->> http://leeviahan.blogspot.com
The black with the blue is beautiful, the website for Superdrug is so user unfriendly though, and they only have one bottle for sale, the Leo. I've just ordered a couple of bags of beads from a seller on Etsy, but they are notoriously hard to source at the right size. Well done MUA, as always, putting the customer first
ReplyDeleteDeffo gonna get these!:)

Oh, nice! And the fact that it is MUA, one of the cheapest brands available here makes it even better!

ReplyDeletewww.amakeupbag.blogspot.com
I have the Gemini Constellation and I think they're great! They're affordable so everyone can test the method before committing to spending money on Ciate, and to be honest I don't think I'm going to invest in them now that I've tried MUA's because I'm happy with theirs! Love the review :)
