Nailed: Max Factor Fantasy Fire Giveaway!

There has been such a blogging-frenzy over Max Factor's Fantasy Fire nail polish over the last few weeks, I was keen to see if all the attention was justified.
To be honest the deep purple duochrome, shimmer polish is right up my street regardless so I snapped up a few bottles when i saw it in Boots last week. (Word on the street was that it was sold out everywhere, but I've actually seen it a few times now!)

As many have already reported online, It's disappointingly sheer and will require 4 coats to reach anything near opacity (above). It's best layered over other polishes to get the effect in half the time. You can layer it over light or dark colours for different tones of purple.
I think I prefer it over the lighter shades (see above, on top of avon Cosmic Blue and below, on top of Barry M Berry Ice Cream)
Overall, I think the colour is definitely worth the hype, it's not something I've seen before, and if you're willing to overlook the formulation... it looks stunning on the nails! It's only £3.99 too and on 3 for 2 in Boots at the moment.

I picked up an extra three polishes to give away to three lucky readers this week! All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is:

1. Be a follower of my Blog
2. Write a comment on this post telling me what 'hyped-up' product you've recently purchased and what you think of it!
3. Make sure you include an email address or twitter name so that I can get in touch if you win!

Good luck girls!

The small print: This giveaway is open worldwide. Entry is open until midnight (GMT) Wednesday 18th April 2012. The winner will be chosen at random from the comments entered and announced in my next giveaway on 19th April. **The 9 winners from last week's giveaway for the Ciate Nail Wraps are Emma Barnett, Alyssa Jenkins, Laura Neale, Feyira DeFly, Claire Aikin, Sian Lewelyn, Daisy Lampton, Julia Nim & Judith Kent - you have all been contacted via twitter or facebook!**

  1. I love love love this nail polish! I recently tried the NYX Super Skinny Eye Marker after reading and seeing a lot about it online. I am hooked!

I've always been terrible at applying liquid eyeliner, but this product makes it super simple. I'll definitely recommend it!

  3. The last hyped up thing I bought was my iPhone. I adore it mostly because I have the internet at my fingertips at all times. I usually don't go for hyped up items unless it's really something that interests me. (Mostly books.)

  4. I recently purchased Butter London's Knackered polish because I loved Deb Lipmann's Wicked Game so much. Knackered is so much better, all because of the holographic glitter! Anyways, that's a fantastic color. I'd love to try it!

  15. The last hyped-up product I can think of was the EOS lipbalm in Mint. I love the smell and the tingling sensation I get on my lips, but I find that it doesn't really moisturize my lips all that well. I still continue to use it though.

  17. To be honest, I haven't bought any of the hyped up products because here in Kuwait, we're so behind timewise and still haven't gotten most of the products in stores yet! Like the maybelline colour tattoos, the bouncy blushes, and the revlon lip butters.. still waiting anxiously and anxiously! hehe.. I did though buy the Maybelline Colossal mascara which was fairly hyped up and I absolutely love it!

  77. I bought the much 'hyped up' vitalumier aqua liquid foundation from Chanel on a recent trip to London. I had to save up all my pennies to be able to afford it but I have to say I think it is worth every penny. I don't use it everyday as I can't afford to replace it. But it gives amazing coverage whilst still being light weight which is unlike any other foundation I have tried before. You can't even notice you are wearing it which is a strange feeling at first as I am used to feeling heavy foundation on my skin.

I recently purchased the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rosewater!
I heared a lots of great things about it but after I saw Missglamorazzi's March Favourites 2012 video, of course I had to have it xD !!!
    And it is really AMAZING!!!
You can use it as a toner or as a light moisturizer or as a makeup setting spray or
you can use pigment powders that you want to use wet, it works much better than water or you can use it for your scalp if it's irritated and itchy! :)
I've really sensitive, and acne-prone skin and it is really calming and my skin is so much brighter since I've used it!!!
    It's 4,5/5 on makeupalley!

I am most definitely a follower of your blog already!
The hyped-up product I have recently purchased was the Revlon ColorBurst lip butters after finally getting my hands on some(you replied to me on twitter when I couldn't find them anywhere!). I bought "Lollipop" and "Sugar Frosting" because I do tend to wear pinks and lilacs on my lips. The pigmentation is superb and it is very moisturising which I am so pleased about because I hate wearing a lipstick and it leaves your lips feeling dry! Overall I am very happy with the product and I'm sure I can squeeze more shades in my make up collection!

I have not yet tried the new Maxfactor nail polishes and would love to put this colour to the test with some other brands shades like you have demonstrated.

  121. Well I recently visited 3 stores searching for Impress nails, and only found them in my local drug store.I purchased the black ones and first I was extremely skeptical because all that was supposed to hold them to your fingers was a bit of gel. But applying only took about 5 minutes, and they looked extremely natural, and you can file them. They lasted about four days for me and were extremely easy to remove. So all in all one of the best hyped up products I have tried in a long time.

I believe its very similar to the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (cant say as havent tried that) where its a balm you rub into the face and remove with a hot cloth. It smells heavenly, cleanses really well, and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized (great for my dehydrated skin).
