This Works Clean Skin 5-in-1 Water

After purchasing a jumbo size bottle of Bioderma while in Paris a couple of weeks ago and falling in love with it... I came home to be given a bottle of This Works Clean Skin 5-in-1 Water.

Initially I thought I'd save this untill I'd finished the Bioderma, but after hearing Emily from Fashion Foie Gras rave about this over dinner the very same day, I thought I had to give it a try ASAP...

And I'm so glad I did! This is honestly the BEST makeup remover I've ever used.
A bold statement I know! It removes your eye makeup in a few swipes, and leaves the skin feeling smooth and refreshed. No redness, no irritation and as an extra bonus, it has a lovely, delicate scent.

It's formulated with rose water, olive and almond oils and wild water mint. I'm no ingredients expert but looking at the back of the bottle looks pretty good in terms of chemical-nasties. I actually got the chance to chat to the founder of This Works, Kathy Phillips, about this product and not only did she tell me that this product was formulated with Bioderma in mind (more specifically, improving on it!) but it also contains much less chemicals.

I know there is a lot of hype about Bioderma, and while it's a lovely product... this blows it out of the water for me. It's amazing!

Of course, there's always a downside... it's £21 for 200ml. Expensive... but lasts a good while if you're careful with it and my skin loves me for it!

The only gripe I have with this product is the size of the packaging, it's HUGE and only houses 200ml. A travel version would be nice... hint, hint, This Works!

The 5 in 1 Water is £21 and is available now with free delivery from feelunique

  1. I have never found a makeup remove that actually works how it is supposed to work and that doesn't irritate in some way. I have sensitive skin. i love the sound of this. But, yes the price is pretty expensive for not much products. i might invest anyway, especially if it works, it may turn out to be worth the money.

  4. This sounds brilliant! My eyes can get irritated so easily but I'm not always a fan of the formula/texture of eye make up removers. I wish it wasn't quite that much though! x

  7. Would you still cleanse your face after using this or does it cleanse as well as remove makeup?

Oh and I just wanted to say a big thankyou for introducing me to feelunique.com back in the day. I've made loads of purchases from their online store and have been really happy with them.

  8. I'm not really fond of eye makeup remover myself, i'm more for using makeup wipes - i don't like that oily feeling that some of them leave on the skin! :(x

  10. I dont really bother with eye makeup remover much and tend to just cleanse all in one go but if this is 'bioderma but better' and more readily available then I would really like to give this a go! Great review Fleur, you always make me want to go out and buy everything lol

  11. Better than Bioderma?! Wow! hehe. When I started reading this I was really hoping it would be cheaper than Bioderma as thats what I currently use but I could do with saving a bit of money. Oh well.

Great review Fleur, I did a quick review/comparison with Bioderma and a cheaper product a while ago if anyone's interested

  13. This Works is an amazing brand & fantastic that it is chemical free. Thanks for sharing, I think more people should invest in natural brands, your skin will thank you especially if you are the sensitive type :) Great review Fleur!

  14. Wow, I have to try this out. The product I am using now to remove my makeup is Lush's Ultra Bland, which works amazing for my skin. It softens and moisturizes as well as take off my entire makeup :) But I can't use it on my eyes when I have false lashes on since it clumps them together, meaning I can't use them anymore. So I will try this out :)

  18. this sounds like a great product and an alternative to the bioderma which seems to be really difficult to get my hands on.
I will definitely give this a try because my skin is so sensitive and picky when it comes to products that i use~

  22. Ooh I haven't even got round to trying Bioderma yet but now I want to try this instead! It's a little bit beyond my price range though so I think I am still going to have to settle with Bioderma haha.

  26. Wow! I may have to try this :) I have sensitive skin and have been looking to replace my Mega-Mushroom Cleanser as it is not the best makeup remover. All the other products in that line are fabulous though :) Just put a picture up on my blog to show how nice the moisturizer makes my skin! Don't have to wear makeup anymore unless I really want to! Definitely improved my skin.

Have you ever tried them, Fleur? The moisturizer would be great for you to use if you are having a bad skin day :)

  30. Late to the party as always. I bought this last week after reading/seeing so many beauty bloggers raving about it but I found it makes my skin feel weirdly sticky afterwards does anyone else find that? I was ready to love it as I've used a couple of other products in the line and love them but to be honest I find my £2.99 Garnier makeup remover does just as good a job at removing my makeup so cost wins and I think I'll go back to that after this bottle is finished.
