I wanted to do a little blog post to let you all know about a gift with purchase that Clarins are running at the moment. It's the usual deal, you have to buy two items, one to be skincare, and you will receive a little makeup bag full of goodies. The difference this time is that for every GWP given, Clarins are working with FEED Projects to donate 10 school meals to children in developing countries through the UN World Food Programme.
They've aptly dubbed it the 'Gift With Purpose'...
The gift itself contains very generous sample sizes of the Moisture Rich Body Lotion, Relax Bath & Shower Concentrate, Gentle Refiner, Hydra Quench Cream Mask and the Hand & Nail Treatment. The accompanying hessian makeup mag is lovely too.
I have to admit, these kinds of offers sometimes make me think, why not just donate all the money you spend on these products to charity and it would go a lot further... BUT you can say that about so many things. I think this is a step in the right direction from much a huge global beauty brand. If you need a top up of anything Clarins, or fancy trying something new (I'm currently OBSESSED with the Instant Light Lip Perfectors) then now is the time to buy!
The offer is available now, till the 4th October at Clarins counters nationwide.
I love Clarins make up but have never tried any of their skincare!

This is such a lovely idea, of donating, but I do agree, just spend the money spent on these gifts to make a massive difference, but I suppose the gifts make people aware too! Such a good sized gift set too though, love Clarins

I agree with your point of view on donating the money directly to charities, as it would go a lot further. On a side note, I like what Clarins is doing because so many people would buy this deal anyway, just for the goodie bag. So at least by doing so, they are helping a cause too. x

I wish more beauty brands had a good social conscience. This will definitely make me have a nosey around the Clarins beauty counter. I donate money to charity but like to buy ethically too.

I've never tried Clarins before, but if a product is providing such an amazing cause for buying, then how can I say no to trying? I think it's good to start off this way because you can find out about these types of organisations and then you can decide whether to carry on giving or tell others about the charity! x
ReplyDeleteI really love Clarins' skincare products! I've gotten their gift with purchases before too but this one seems like a great one :)

Great post Fleur! They seem like very generous samples. It doesn't make me feel as guilty considering buying them if they donate to charity when I do!

I am a huge fan of the Clarins HydraQuench range. This mask is great for a long flight as it dries out clear and leaves the skin really soft.
