My lovely friend Tati (otherwise known as
GlamLifeGuru on YouTube, if you don’t already watch her fabulous videos, I
would recommend that you do!) kindly sent me a wonderful box of housewarming
goodies this week. Part of which was this beautiful ‘Moroccan Amber’ candle
from Nest.
I’m the first to admit, I’m super fussy when it comes to scented candles. If they don’t kick out the
scent sufficiently, they are swiftly banished to the guest bedroom or bathroom
and labeled as aesthetic-only, never to be burnt again.
But for this little beauty, that was not
the case...
The scent of warm, creamy amber and sweet
patchouli radiated from the whole package when I opened it (which has got to be
a good sign, right?!) When lit, it didn’t disappoint and filled my office with
it’s beautiful fragrance within about 5 minutes of lighting.
I immediately went online to find out more
about this brand, which I hadn’t heard of before. The good news is, they have a
nice selection of other scents (Hello Fig & Honey, Moss & Mint, Pumkin
Chai and Wasabi Pear!) and they do sell them in
the UK! You can pick up this scent, along with a selection of others from the
brand, from John Lewis. They are £29 each, so quite hefty on the price front,
but make beautiful gifts and have an impressive 60 hour burn time. I’m obsessed
already.
Have any of you tried any products from Nest? I'd love to hear what you think!
*UPDATE - I believe John Lewis have now stopped stocking NEST (shocker!)

I love candles so much so this sounds great. It's definitely hefty but then I think candles are getting so expensive these days that £29 is almost a mid range mark for a candle that burns for so long. Never heard of Nest before so keen to check them out! x

ReplyDeleteI love scented candles and this sounds lovely but I don't think I would pay £29 for a candle eek
ReplyDeletealittlebitsunshine.blogspot.co.uk
Love candles! i wont pay so much for it.. it think maybe in the sale ;)!
ReplyDeleteThis candle sounds nice I have never heard of this brand before either :O £29 is an okay price for a candle I would say as I have seen some at more steeper price ranges so its not to bad :) x

I love candles so much! I'm very picky with scents too. I love sweet pea candles (the ones from Yankee candle and Woodwick are my favourite).
ReplyDeleteMoss & Mint sounds amazing. I love mint scents but it's so hard to find good mint candles!

These sound really interesting - I adore scented candles, but the hefty price tag is always off-putting! Will definitely check these out, but I'm not totally convinced by the Wasabi Pear scent and might start off with something a little more standard :-)

That candle sounds really good, it's a bit expensive for me but I might ask for it as a present xx
ReplyDeleteHttp://Hannah-groves-way.blogspot.co.uk
These sound amazing and amber is one of my faourite scents! But it takes a lot for me to be swayed away from yankee candles that I have stock piled !

Sounds amazing, but already bought 2 candles this month and i'm surprised at how expensive they are getting these days!

ReplyDeleteSince moving in to my new house I have been obsessed with getting a nice collection of candles together, this is the first I've heard of Nest, but think I should give the Fig and Honey a go!

I love the sound of the candles and will go to john lewis and have a sniff but I think this would have to be a present for me rather than something I would just buy myself.

This candle looks really luxurious. :>
ReplyDeleteMh sounds very nice and the fragrance is quiet unusual so I'm definitely tempted to get one :)

ReplyDeleteZoe // The Caribbean Flower
I love candles too! Scented ones are just lush<3<3
ReplyDeleteThe burn time is really impressive as well!
Woah that really is pricey for a candle, but I suppose you get what you pay for! xxx
ReplyDeleteGemma ♥ | MissMakeupMagpie.co.uk
I love scented candles especially Jo Malone. They are pricey, but well worth the money as they are quality candles.
ReplyDeleteOH! I keep the Black Fig & Honey 3 wick candle on my coffee table in the living room, it lets off a soft scent even when not lit, but when lit it fills up my whole living room and kitchen area which is large. I'm obsessed with these, & luckily I got to give it a try by finding one on sale in Marshall's here in the US for only $15! However, I'd definitely purchase at full price after owning one of these magical candles! :)
ReplyDeletemy goodness the price is pretty high for my tastes but the fig and honey scent just sounds so amazing!! I may need to treat myself to it one day :)

I've never heard of that brand...but YAY for it being a success! I agree with you -- I only like when candles have a good enough fragrance to change the smell of a room!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choice! And I LOVE the "Gone Shopping" sign...perfect!
Sounds luxurious :) but I don't think a candle is worth that price

Candles are so expensive these days, but I just love them so much. It's so annoying how they don't do bath and body works candles in the UK though:(
ReplyDeletehttp://alanismoore.blogspot.co.uk/
I like the little glass jar its in, that would be a perfect pen/make up brush/other bits and bobs holder after I'd finished burning the candle! Couldnt spend the best part of £30.00 on it though! x
ReplyDeleteThis looks beautiful and i lie how you set it up on your vanity!
ReplyDeleteI'm really curious to smell this candle and definitely will check it out! :)
I'm obsessed with Bath and Body Work Candles, they have a london scent that smells like lemon and tea!
I don't know if you have this shop in the UK, but this particular candle is amazing and definitely worth checking out :)
This sounds lovely :) and a little less than Miller Harris' and Jo Malone's offerings with a longer burn time!
